Where to go for the Ultimate Shopping Holiday

Many people like to indulge in a little retail therapy when they are on vacation. You can pick up clothes, jewellery, art, or souvenirs that will remind you of your vacation every time you look at them. It is a great way to relax and interact with the local people as well. Many stores all over the world will offer discounted or free shipping for larger items so make sure you don’t get caught with any overweight luggage for your trip home.

New York

New York City is a fabulous place for shopping and it is a great place to pick up the latest fashions at a great price. There are numerous fabulous shopping areas like Soho, Nolita, Greenwich Village, Lower Manhattan and the Financial District just to name a few. Chinatown is a great place to pick up souvenirs and knock off handbags and you can haggle for the cheapest prices.

Dubai

The best thing about Dubai is that it really does have something for everyone, and if you love shopping then you are really in luck. This city in the United Emirates is world famous for its shopping opportunities. There are sixty malls and each ones features exciting stores to browse through. If you are looking for new clothes you can pick up trendy clothing at cheap prices or you can choose from the latest couture if that is in your budget. Dubai is one of the cheapest places in the world to pick up a used exotic car like a Porsche, Ferrari, or Lamborghini but don’t forget to factor in the cost of shipping it home. When you’ve shopped till you’ve dropped, then you can refuel in one of Dubai’s delicious restaurants, and spend the night in a luxurious hotel.

Milan

Milan is a wonderful city that is the home of fabulous architecture, great art, and fantastic shopping. Be sure to take some time away from shopping to check out the magnificent gothic architecture of Duomo & San Babila and no trip to Milan is complete without visiting Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting, The Last Supper, at Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie. Milan is a great place to pick up inexpensive leather like wallets, purses, clothing, and other accessories. It also sells great fashion and you can hire a personal shopper to gain you access to the shops without the crowds.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong is known for its fabulous prices on electronics, cameras, luggage, jewellery, and clothing. You will find all of the international brand names here. Mong Kok is a great area for bargain shopping and you can negotiate the prices down even further if you are a savvy shopper. If you are looking for cameras or electronics make sure you do price comparisons at a few different places before making your purchase and make sure it comes with an international warranty. If you have the time you can also have fabulous clothing made at a tailors for a reasonable price.

Moscow

It used to be really difficult to buy things here, as there just weren’t that many things to buy. That is no longer the case and on a visit to Moscow now you can pick up fabulous Russian arts and crafts, wander through antique markets, or peruse what the high-end department stores have to offer. There are many shopping opportunities within walking distance of the Red Square like the Gum Department Store and the Tsum Department Store. Take a trip to the northern part of Moscow and explore Aviapark, one of the biggest malls in Europe.
