I’m going to Rome!

going to rome italy

I’m off again! I’m going to Rome!

So I haven’t been back in the UK long since I arrived back from India via Spain for TBEX. But with Europe so close I just can’t help myself so I found some cheap Ryan Air flight and booked a cheeky break to Rome!

I’m really excited to visit the Eternal City and looking forward to soaking up all the culture, history, food and Italian passion!

As I’m only there for the weekend a central base is essential to get the most of the short time we have so I’ve booked an apartment that’s right next to the Vatican City with Flipkey with all the comforts of home.

I’m really excited to be taking a Vespa tour with local tour operator LivItaly Tours  for a thrilling and unique way to discover Rome, and anyone who’s seen my Instagram will know how much I love riding bikes around Goa, so I can’t wait for this!

I will also be exploring underground the Colosseum, an area that tourists don’t usually get to see, and discovering the history and ruins of ancient Rome at the Roman Forum and Palantine Hill .

And when in Rome you can’t miss the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel! I’ve heard rumors of long queues and I don’t want to spend my time waiting in line when I could be exploring Rome so I’ve booked a queue jump tour with City Wonders.

I’m looking forward to exploring Rome and of course sharing my experiences!

Have you been to Rome? Do you have any tips for me?

What else can I not miss while visiting Rome?
